Virginia Linul is a renowned Romanian artisan and ethnographer from Salva, Bistrița-Năsăud. Inspired by her mother’s embroidery, she has dedicated her life to preserving and reinventing traditional costume.
With a doctorate in ethnography, she bridges heritage and modern fashion, showcasing Romanian craft worldwide — from the Smithsonian Folklife Festival to collaborations with international designers. Today, through the House of Traditional Costume Virginia Linul, she keeps alive the art of embroidery and folk dress, passing it to new generations.
